Pakistan National Cricket Team’s skipper Babar Azam has achieved another milestone in T20 cricket by becoming the player with the most boundaries. During the match against New Zealand, Babar Azam surpassed Ireland’s Paul Stirling.
Stirling had hit 407 boundaries in 136 innings, but Babar Azam surpassed him during the T20 match against New Zealand by hitting his fifth boundary in the 107th inning, leaving Stirling behind.
Pakistan defeated New Zealand by nine runs in the final game of the five-match T20I series at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, on Saturday after a thrilling encounter that was decided in the last over.
The series drew 2-2 with Pakistan winning the second and fifth T20I while New Zealand got the better of the home side in the third and fourth matches. Meanwhile, the first encounter in Pindi was called off due to rain.
Meanwhile, Babar looked solid tonight with his strokes. The 29-year-old registered his 34th fifty in T20Is and also claimed the record for most fours in the history of the format.
