British-Pakistani biker Gul Tariq has completed a remarkable journey to Pakistan on a heavy motorcycle, reaching her ancestral homeland after travelling across multiple countries.
Her trip, which began in the United Kingdom, was marked by changing weather conditions, logistical challenges, and route disruptions due to regional tensions in the Middle East.
Despite obstacles, including a closed Iran border that forced her to alter her travel plan, she continued her journey through Europe and eventually reached Pakistan via a revised route.
Speaking to local media in Islamabad, Gul Tariq said she faced a variety of weather conditions and numerous difficulties along the route, but continued her journey without stopping.
She said the trip from the United Kingdom to Pakistan was a unique experience and was also aimed at encouraging women to take up solo biking with confidence.
She added that she prepared extensively for the long journey, including learning motorcycle maintenance and dealing with daily challenges on the road.
Gul Tariq further revealed that she has already written a book based on her experiences as a biker and is planning more international journeys in the coming years.
