Drivers can now get free medical fitness certificates from Lahore hospitals

Citizens in Lahore seeking a driving license will now be able to obtain medical fitness certificates free of cost, as the city’s government hospitals have set up dedicated fitness certificate centers across 13 facilities.

According to the Chief Traffic Officer Lahore, citizens can now obtain medical fitness certificates free of cost from public hospitals. In the initial phase, free driving license fitness certificate centers have been set up in 13 government hospitals across Lahore.

Special medical counters have been established at DHQ Mian Mir Hospital, DHQ Mozang, General Hospital Ghaziabad, and Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Sabzazar.

Morover, Government Hospitals in Samanabad, Qila Gujjar Singh, Shahdara, Bilal Ganj, Sodiwal, Kahna, Raiwind, and Swami Nagar are also included in this facility.

The CTO Lahore said that a medical fitness certificate is mandatory for obtaining a commercial driving license and for individuals above 50 years of age.

A digital system is being introduced to prevent fake medical certificates, while online medical verification is expected to enhance transparency, accountability, and public trust.
