Pakistan’s female swimmer, Jehanara Nabi, will represent the country at the Paris Olympics 2024 on a wild card, as confirmed by a senior official of the Pakistan Swimming Federation (PSF) on Monday. Jehanara will compete in the 200-meter freestyle event at the Olympics, whose opening ceremony is scheduled for July 26 in Paris.
Jehanara boasts significant international experience and has excelled in various events, particularly the 200m freestyle.
It is expected that Jehanara will deliver her best performance on this prestigious stage. With her inclusion, Pakistan’s contingent for the Paris Olympics is now complete. Additionally, female sprinter Faiqa Riaz will also represent the nation on a wild card.
Among the athletes representing Pakistan, only javelin thrower and world silver medallist Arshad Nadeem, along with shooters Kishmala Talat, Ghulam Mustafa Bashir, and Joseph Gulfam, have directly qualified for the Olympics. This brings the total number of athletes representing the country to six in the Olympics.
