The Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan has introduced a fully online and paperless Degree Attestation System (DAS).
The newly introduced system is designed to be secure, efficient, and user-friendly, allowing applicants to submit attestation requests 24/7 from anywhere in the country or abroad.
With this upgrade, there is no longer a need to visit HEC offices (Click here) or submit physical documents, and even photocopies of educational credentials will not be processed under the new framework.
Under the revamped system, applicants will receive secure e-Attestation Certificates, which can be verified online along with the attested documents, ensuring transparency and authenticity.
The online Degree Attestation System with e-Attestation facility officially came into effect on 11 May 2026.
HEC further clarified that applicants who had already submitted their requests and paid fees under the previous system will continue to be processed through the existing mechanism until 30 June 2026, after which the transition period will conclude. Applicants are encouraged to complete their pending cases within the given timeframe.
Those who have not yet paid the attestation fee under the old system are advised to apply directly through the new online platform.
HEC also confirmed that all attestation documents issued prior to the introduction of the e-Attestation system will remain valid and verifiable online, ensuring continuity and reliability of academic records.
