The KP Ramadan Package 2026 has removed the mandatory bank account requirement for beneficiaries. This decision follows widespread criticism from citizens, social activists, and local representatives.

Earlier, the package offered Rs12,500 financial aid to eligible families. However, the rule to have a bank account was seen as unrealistic, particularly for rural and underprivileged households.

Many families live in areas where banking facilities are limited or nonexistent.

Under the revised process, beneficiaries can now register using their CNIC, mobile number, and essential personal details.

Officials say this update ensures that thousands of deserving families in remote areas can receive aid without obstacles.

Authorities have highlighted that the new system will improve transparency, reduce bureaucratic hurdles, and deliver financial support promptly to families across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Social workers and local leaders have welcomed this change, calling it a practical step towards inclusive support.
