Australia’s Royal Military College Duntroon has named Pakistan Army cadet Sardar Arsam Abbas as the “overall best foreign military cadet,” according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations on Wednesday.
The honor was awarded during the passing-out parade held in Canberra on May 5, recognizing the highest-performing international cadet across all areas of training, including leadership, discipline and academic excellence.
Officials described the achievement as a reflection of the Pakistan Army’s strong professional standards and the quality of its young officers.
The ceremony was reviewed by Australian Army Chief Simon Stuart and attended by senior defence officials, diplomats, the Pakistani high commissioner, and families of graduating cadets.
Military ties between Pakistan and Australia remain longstanding. Since 2009, 46 Pakistani cadets have graduated from the college, while several officers have served on its faculty.
This marks the 14th time a Pakistani cadet has received the top foreign cadet award, underscoring continued excellence.
