Pakistani bodybuilders Arsalan and Shehzad wins medals in EBC

Pakistani bodybuilders Arsalan Baig and Shehzad Qureshi showcased their prowess on the global stage by clinching two medals at the 3rd European Bodybuilding Championship held in Budapest, Hungary.

Marking Pakistan’s debut in the tournament, Arsalan Baig secured the silver medal in the Sports Physique category, while Shehzad Qureshi claimed the bronze medal in the Bodybuilding category.

Sohail Anwar, General Secretary of the Pakistan Bodybuilding Federation (PBBF), extended his congratulations to the winners and all participants for their commendable performances.

Ambassador of Pakistan to Hungary, Asif Hussain Memon, also commended the achievements of the Pakistani bodybuilders, emphasizing their dedication and skill.

The championship, organized and supervised by the Hungarian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Federation (HBPSF), received support from the Hungarian government.

The tournament commenced on May 18th, with Pakistani bodybuilders departing for Europe on May 16th to compete on the international stage.

Upon Pakistan’s confirmation of participation, Anwar expressed excitement about the historic milestone, stating, “We are thrilled to take this historic step into Europe and showcase the talent and dedication of our athletes. We are grateful for the support of the government of Hungary in making this opportunity possible.”

Pakistan’s bodybuilders have previously excelled in championships organized by the World Bodybuilding and Physique Federation (WBPF), Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Federation (ABBF), and the South Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Federation (SABBF) in Asia, securing a total of 97 medals.

With this impressive track record, the PBBF remains confident that its athletes will continue to shine on the international stage, bringing pride to the nation. Bodybuilding, a sport characterized by rigorous training, strict dietary regimens, and strategic rest periods, emphasizes the development of a balanced and muscular physique that impresses judges at the international level.
