Leg-spinner Usama Mir broke Pakistan pacer Sohail Tanvir’s record for the best bowling figures by a Pakistan player in T20 cricket.
Usama Mir delivered a sensational spell of 6 wickets for 8 runs to lead Sialkot to a massive 110-run victory over Lahore Blues in a National T20 Cup 2026 match at the Imran Khan Cricket Stadium.
His figures of 6-8 are now the best by a Pakistani in T20 cricket, surpassing Tanvir’s previous record of 6-14, which he achieved for Rajasthan Royals against Chennai Super Kings during the inaugural Indian Premier League (IPL) season in 2008.
The exclusive list of Pakistani bowlers with six-wicket hauls in T20 cricket also includes former Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir and national all-rounder Faheem Ashraf.
Overall, Mir’s remarkable performance also placed him joint ninth on the list of best bowling figures in T20 cricket worldwide. The record is held by Bhutan’s Sonam Yeshey, who took 8 wickets for 7 runs against Myanmar in December last year.
