Four students from Pakistan excelled at the international food competition ‘Battle of Chefs 2024’ held in Malaysia, bringing home gold and bronze medals.
Ayesha Ali and Sehrish Ayyub, students of Pakistan Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management (PITHM), secured gold medals in the seafood and Chicken Main Course categories, respectively. Aram Shaikh and Fatima won bronze medals in the Roasted Chicken Free Style category.
Upon their return, Sindh Minister of Culture, Tourism, Antiquities, and Archives, Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, congratulated the students and presented them with traditional Sindhi Ajraks.
He praised their achievements and announced a cash prize of Rs. 50,000 for each student, emphasizing that their success has brought pride to the nation. The minister also commended PITHM for nurturing such talented individuals who are earning recognition for Pakistan worldwide. Director of PITHM, Hidayatullah Rajar, was also in attendance during the felicitation ceremony.
