Pakistan’s Amir Khan wins gold medal at World Taekwondo Championship

Pakistan’s Amir Khan has secured the top prize at the World Taekwondo Championships held in Thailand.

The 7th Heroes Taekwondo International Championship took place at Assumption University of Thailand in Bangkok from August 10 to 12, attracting over 3,000 athletes from 30 countries, including Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, the Philippines, China, Indonesia, and Malaysia.

Amir Khan, a native of Mingora, Swat, showcased his exceptional talent by winning the gold medal. He outperformed competitors from Japan, the Philippines, and India, demonstrating extraordinary skill and determination. His victory is a significant achievement not only for himself but also for Swat and Pakistan as a whole.

In an emotional statement, Amir Khan dedicated his success to his hometown and his country, expressing heartfelt gratitude for the support he received from his coaches, family, and friends.
