Pakistani endurance runner Masood Khan has made sporting history after completing an extraordinary 808-kilometre ultra-distance run from Peshawar to Skardu in just nine days, a feat being widely celebrated across the country.
The young athlete began his journey from Peshawar and navigated some of the most demanding terrains in Pakistan, including the rugged stretches of the Karakoram Highway, the scenic Indus River valleys, and the mountainous routes of Gilgit-Baltistan.
The extreme endurance challenge tested both his physical stamina and mental resilience as he ran through harsh weather conditions and high-altitude landscapes.
His remarkable journey concluded at Skardu View Point in Skardu, where he received a warm and celebratory welcome from local residents and officials.
The District Administration of Skardu, along with representatives of the Gilgit-Baltistan Tourism, Sports and Culture Department, formally received him and honored his achievement with flower garlands.
Masood Khan’s achievement is being hailed as one of the most remarkable endurance feats in the country’s sporting history, symbolizing determination, discipline, and the growing spirit of adventure sports in Pakistan.
