Pakistan’s ace Waseem Khatri has stormed into the finals of the North American Scrabble Championship being played at South Bend, USA.
Waseem was in brilliant form throughout the championship ending day-one and day-two on the No. 1 position but struggled on day-three after a few losses but still managed to cling on the 3rd position by the close of play, said a press release.
Waseem played like a champion on the fourth day with six straight wins to clinch a spot in the finals.
The North American Scrabble Championship is one of the most prestigious events in the world of competitive Scrabble, bringing together top players to compete for the title.
The gruelling 28 game championship played over five days features some of the finest scrabble players in the world including former world champion, world youth champion, North American champions, British champions and Canadian champions.
The best-of-five final will be played between Waseem Khatri and Joshua Castellano of USA.
