The Government of Punjab has launched the Chief Minister Punjab Climate Leadership Development Internship Program, inviting applications from young graduates interested in climate and environmental initiatives.
According to the announcement, the internship program will provide selected participants with a monthly stipend of Rs. 60,000 for a duration of three months. Interns will also receive an official government internship certificate upon completion of the program.
The initiative aims to engage young people in climate-related projects and policy work while giving them exposure to environmental governance and sustainability initiatives.
The program will offer learning opportunities through a Learning Management System and field exposure with the Environment Protection and Climate Change Department (EPCCD) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Participants will also work on capstone projects and receive mentorship from experts.
Officials stated that the selection process will be merit-based and conducted district-wise to ensure participation from across Punjab. Fifty percent of the seats have been reserved for female students.
Interested candidates can apply through the official portals at epd.punjab.gov.pk/climateinternship and climateinternship.pk. The last date to submit applications for the first batch of the program is March 29, 2026.
