A Punjab Police constable not only fulfilled his duty of protecting the country’s borders but also brought honor to Pakistan in an international sports event. Umar Farooq brought honor to the country in the International West Asia Baseball Cup.
According to details, Constable Umar Farooq, belonging to District Okara, showcased an excellent performance in the International West Asia Baseball Cup and won a silver medal.
According to a Punjab Police spokesperson, Umar Farooq defeated an Indian player in the semifinal to reach the final, where he represented Pakistan with full skill, passion, and courage.
Players from Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Iran, Iraq, Palestine, and several other Asian countries participated in this international tournament.
DIG Welfare and Finance, Ghazi Muhammad Salahuddin, who oversees police athletes, met Umar Farooq and appreciated his excellent performance.
He stated that Umar Farooq will be given a certificate of appreciation and a cash prize by the IG Punjab. The outstanding performance of Punjab Police personnel in sports is proof that behind the uniform are not only protectors of the law but also national pride and heroes of the field.
