World’s largest handwritten Holy Quran goes on display in Azad Kashmir

A stunning hand-written version of the world’s largest Holy Quran is currently on display for public viewing at the Kashmir Press Club in Mirpur, Azad Jammu Kashmir.

Measuring 41 feet in length and 8.5 feet in width, this Quran, inscribed by renowned religious scholar and calligrapher Pir Imtiaz Haider Shah Noorani Mujadadi, stands as a remarkable masterpiece of Islamic calligraphy.

The three-day exhibition, which began on Sunday, offers visitors the opportunity to witness the sacred manuscript, which includes Urdu translations of all the verses. The event is open to the general public, attracting religious scholars, students, and individuals from all walks of life.

Pir Imtiaz Haider Shah Noorani Mujadadi, the calligrapher, revealed that it took him 425 days to complete the manuscript, with an additional three months to assemble it.

The Quran has been previously showcased in various cities across Pakistan, and this marks its first appearance in Mirpur.

The exhibition will continue for three days, concluding on Tuesday, September 10, with daily visiting hours from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, according to KPC President Syed Abid Hussain Shah.
