Representing Peshawar Zalmi in the Pakistan Super League, Babar became the fastest player to reach 12,000 T20 runs.
He reached the milestone during a PSL match against Karachi Kings, completing 12,000 runs in just 338 innings.
Babar broke the previous record held by former West Indies cricketer Chris Gayle, who had reached the mark in 345 innings.
Other leading players include Virat Kohli, who achieved the feat in 360 innings, and David Warner, who did so in 368 innings.
It is worth noting that Babar Azam is the 12th player in the world and only the second Pakistani to reach 12,000 T20 runs, after former cricketer Shoaib Malik.
