Pakistan delivered a stellar performance at the ongoing International Tennis Federation (ITF) Masters World Championship in Lisbon, Portugal, clinching a total of four medals, highlighted by tennis star Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi securing his second consecutive mixed doubles world title.
Aisam-ul-Haq, partnering with Austria’s Nina Hermann, successfully defended his title by outclassing the top-seeded Portuguese duo in a hard-fought final.
The victory marks another milestone in the veteran Pakistani player’s distinguished international career.
Adding to the country’s medal tally, the iconic duo of Aisam-ul-Haq and Aqeel Khan bagged a silver medal in the Men’s 45+ Doubles category after a contested final match.
The national side further proved its mettle on the international stage by securing a silver medal in the Men’s 45+ World Team Championship, showcasing Pakistan’s strong presence in the veteran circuit.
Meanwhile, Aqeel Khan added a fourth medal to the tally, picking up a bronze medal in the 40+ Mixed Doubles event.
The remarkable four-medal haul underscores a dominant showing by the Pakistani contingent against top international competition in Lisbon.
