Pakistan won the CAVA Central Asian Volleyball Championship 2026 title for the third time after defeating Bangladesh in straight sets in the final held at the Liaquat Gymnasium Sports Complex in Islamabad.
Bangladesh had secured its place in the final by defeating Uzbekistan in the first semi-final, while Pakistan advanced after overcoming Sri Lanka in the second semi-final.
In the championship decider, Pakistan produced a dominant display to beat Bangladesh 3-0, successfully defending its title. The hosts won the three sets 25-20, 25-16 and 25-20 to lift the trophy.
The victory marks Pakistan’s third CAVA Central Asian Volleyball Championship title, further strengthening the country’s position in regional volleyball.
Earlier in the day, Kazakhstan secured fifth place by beating Nepal 3-0. The match scores were 25-16, 26-24, 25-20, with Nepal putting up their strongest resistance in the second set.
