Pakistan’s snooker player Shehzad Butt has advanced to the final of the World Disabled Snooker Championship.
Shehzad Butt secured his place in the final after defeating China’s cueist Yuan Huan He in the semi-final. He won the match 3–1 in frames, delivering a strong performance throughout the contest. In the final, he will face defending champion Song Kiat Ribenko.
The final of the World Disabled Snooker Championship is scheduled to be played on Sunday at 8:00 am.
Shehzad Butt has so far produced two of the highest breaks of the tournament, scoring 71 and 81. His opponent, Thailand’s Song Kiat Ribenko, is the reigning champion, having won the title last year.
Hailing from Lahore, Butt has earned global recognition by representing Pakistan and winning medals at major championship events including European Championship where he secured gold by beating England’s Dave Bolton in the final and finishing the tournament completely undefeated.
He also won the bronze medal at last year’s World Disability Snooker Championship in Thailand.
