First Hindu female Assistant Commissioner appointed in Bahawalpur

In a historic move for the city of Bahawalpur, the Punjab government appointed its first Hindu female Assistant Commissioner, marking a significant milestone. Dr. Sana Ramchand Gulwani has been assigned the role of Assistant Commissioner of Bahawalpur City.

She previously served in Hassanabdal. Hailing from Shikarpur District in Sindh, Dr. Sana Ramchand is not only an officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) but also a qualified urologist.

This appointment was part of a broader restructuring, with 45 Assistant Commissioners transferred across the province. Among these changes, Aurangzeb Goraya will now serve as Assistant Commissioner of Sadar Faisalabad, while Abdul Wasit Siddiqui moves to Assistant Commissioner of Gujranwala City from Burewala. Farooq Ahmed has been appointed as Assistant Commissioner of Burewala, Anam Babar moves to Assistant Commissioner of Sialkot from Shahpur, and Muhammad Zohaib Shafi will now serve as Assistant Commissioner of Shahpur, among other assignments.

Further reshuffling includes Almas Sabi Saqib, who transitions to Assistant Commissioner of Rawalpindi Cantt from Rawalpindi Sadr. Fazlur Rehman takes over as Assistant Commissioner of Sadar Rawalpindi from Kahuta, while Ayush Zafar moves to Assistant Commissioner of Kahuta from Safdarabad. Iqra Mubeen assumes the role of Assistant Commissioner of Safdarabad, and Tariq Shabbir becomes Assistant Commissioner of Sheikhupura from Taunsa Sharif.

Additionally, Mohammad Azhar Tariq takes over as Assistant Commissioner of Taunsa Sharif, Muhammad Iqbal assumes the role of Assistant Commissioner of Mian Channu, and Fayaz Farid is appointed as Assistant Commissioner of Khanpur. Muhammad Ahmad Khan will now serve as Assistant Commissioner of Hasilpur, and Atiya Inayat Madani takes on the role of Assistant Commissioner of Kasur.
